The Power of Place in Tackling Poverty

A conference on the role of local places in driving down poverty and boosting living standards

While many of the main drivers to tackle poverty lie with central government, we know that partners across sectors and local authorities can play a significant role in boosting local living standards. This day-long conference explored the powerful role that places can play in poverty reduction. Together, we looked at the strategic and policy responses that can be implemented at a regional and local level to tackle poverty and make a difference to your communities.
